Although the name may be confusing, especially in digital world, a watermark is a mark or lettering superimposed onto the photo showing who its owner is: a photographer, a company or a website. It is a technique known already for ages and is still used for example in marking banknotes. More commonly people associate watermarking with signing the works of art by famous painters, though artist like da Vinci or Picasso did not watermark their pieces, they simply signed it, but the idea of signing someone’s work is applicable.
Hello! We are happy to announce that Visual Watermark has a few new updates and we would like to tell you about them.
First of all, the feature of background removal from black and white uploaded logos had been massively improved. For instance, let’s say, you have a digital version of your signature. The signature itself is black and the background is white. You want to add this signature to your photos as a watermark, so you uploaded it into Visual Watermark. The white background is still visible, though, and in order to remove it you have to click on “Remove Background”. Voilà! The background is gone now - simple as that. Along with having improved this feature, we also added the ability to choose the color for your uploaded signature or any other uploaded logo, which makes it easier to create a logo watermark that is coherent with the color palette of your photo.
We have amazing news for you - we’ve launched our very first version of Visual Watermark app for Android! This means that now you can watermark your images whenever and wherever you want - quickly and easily.
At this moment the Visual Watermark app allows you to add a text to an image or add a logo to several photos at once and much like in the desktop version, the size of your watermark is adjusted automatically during batch export. There are 70 different fonts and unlimited colors at your disposal. If you want to adjust the placement of your watermark, you need to choose one of nine positions, which include four corners, four sides and the center of an image, and use the “Size” slider to change the size of your text/logo. With the clean and simple interface you can create a small watermark with only one hand - that’s very useful if you’re always on the go! Moreover, you won’t have to create one and the same watermark over and over again, because Visual Watermark app allows you to save your watermark templates and use them later on different images. On top of that, you can watermark photos offline, so you don’t even have to have the internet connection.
